After a hefty morning hike up Washington St. from Walnut to W. Newton, I stopped in at the Keltic Krust Irish Bakery(#1371) hot, hungry & thirsty. Cheerful, cozy room w/cases filled w/scones, cookies, muffins, etc. Lots of fresh fruit smoothies & teas on the boards w/lots of folks stopping in for takeout. Wanted something more protein-based, so ordered a ham & swiss omelet from the friendly counter lad & an iced coffee. Omelete came out light, fluffy, moist & delicious. Should have ordered iced tea, as coffee was a bit weak. Scenting bar-b-q, I found Blue Ribbon right next door, but was way too full & would have missed movie, "A Touch of Spice", about a Greek family w/a spice store in Istanbul that I'd been trying to get to forever-well worth the trek. Now that I know how to get there sans auto, I'll be back over to pick up take out at Blue Ribbon.
