Just finished reading a ton of the old postings here and I couldn't help but notice that a couple of my favorite haunts in KC have been left out.
1. New spot on 39th called Blue Koi. I really dig this place. Not pricey at all, really fun drinks called bubble teas, fresh and flavorful dishes, cool surroundings. I went with a group and probably tried half the menu. The noodles are a little doughy for me, but everything else was fantastic. Does this count as the "gourmet Chinese" that someone was lamenting our lack of earlier?
2. I also thought I'd mention my love affair with the Better Cheddar on the Plaza. Wonderful gourmet food store, friendly staff -- and the best part is that at any given time, half their inventory is laid out in the form of samples!
