Restaurants & Bars 6

Based on Nosher's recommendation a while back, I went to Kashkaval for the first time last night. If you are in the neighborhood (55th & 9th), Id definitely recommend it.

Its a cheese and olive shop up front with a little wine bar in the back.

We had a small sampler Mediterranean platter of white bean salad, roasted beets, eggplant caponata and an artichoke puree. We also shared a Greek salad and shared the cilantro chicken. Perfect amount of food for 2.

They also have a number of fondues which looked excellent, but we didn't try.

We each had 1 drink and ended up spending under $50 including tax and tip.

Nice place to have in the neighborhood if you want to have an informal, reasonable dinner, or just grab a snack with a glass of wine.
