Last week while doing a pre-Xmas dinner at a certain Greek establishment on 4th, it occurred to me that I've been having a long spell of mediocre kalamari.
My previous faves included Kalamata, Maria's, Stepho's and Acropol. Maybe it's me, but I haven't found any kalamari anywhere in the past year or so that made me stop and savour them. Quality seems to waver at Greek restaurants, is it a constant turnover of kitchen staff ?
So this is not a definitive question. I'd be happy to hear which are some of your favorites and why. Cheers.
