This is a serious source for fresh meat with a live butcher. They have simply terrific lamb, shoulder, leg, shank, kidneys, tongue and beef plus a limited but good seafood selection - whole fish which can also be fileted. Bought a whole lamb shoulder - butcher chopped up two big packages for stew/soup and last night we had the shoulder roasted - a nice olive oil massage, salt, pepper, garlic and lots of rosemary sprigs. Cooked about half an hour at 425 deg and then lowered to 375 for a total of about two hours - probably about a 5-6 lb piece of meat. It was sizzling and crunchy at the ends and the inside rare. The reason I am raving is that the taste is like the lamb that I had growing up when it was gamboling in the fields in recent memory before ending up in the roasting pan. Worth a visit - the whole shoulder was about $21 but we had several meals off the beast. BTW a whole whitefish stuffed and baked is also a great meal.
