Jones loses a step?

Went to Jones BBQ for lunch today and was a trifle disappointed.
I had an errand on Dearborn today, so lunchtime found me mere blocks from Jones BBQ on Lander.
Last few times I've been there, the lunch special offerings included the "Rib & Link Special" - 3 meaty ribs and a hot link, with coleslaw - at $7.95, this was a good luch and a good deal, which is probably why it's gone. To get close, I had a "Rib-Tip" special, $7.95 and a link $1.95 or so. With Pecan Pie it was about $15, more than I prefer to spend on lunch, but this is a splurge sort of place. I have attained my MDR of FATS for about a month, I'm certain.
The BBQ sauces there are sweet, such that a Taiwanese visitor remarked "candy-food." Though it seems sort of normal to me, I have heard that complaint from others,too...
I had to power right past Pedos Pit to get to Jones, but next time I might just return to my old favorite for a pulled-pork sandwich and some beans.
