Both Joan and Gary have mentioned buying some pomegrante molasses at Andy's Fruit Ranch on Kedzie. While I could not locate some at Andy's I found some at Garden Fresh in Mundelein. The bottle went on the shelf in the pantry and I forgot about it.
I recently sauteed some shrimp and red peppers in olive oil/butter with onion, garlic, PM and a touch of honey. The PM was fantastic, transforming what would have been something simple and kind of boring into a really good dish. Great to have on the shelf to throw something together. I'm going to do some more experimenting with the PM.
