best jelly/candy thermometer

tesslouise | Nov 15, 201012:30 PM     1

My mother mentioned that she needs a new candy/jelly thermometer because her old one broke. She wants one that is accurate (obviously), easy to read (she wears reading glasses), and not glass (when the tip broke off her old one, she had to check every jar of jelly for broken glass).

If there is a good one in the $25 to $50 price range, I could get it for her for Christmas.
