Jarred Thai Basil

I bought some jarred Thai basil because it's so hard to find fresh. I want to make a recipe that calls for 1 cup basil, chopped. Does anyone have any idea how to figure an equivalent for jarred basil? It's not even as simple as estimating how much chopped basil the 1 cup would yield, since the jarred stuff is wet (jarred with water and citric acid) and looks much more compressed.
