japon bistro in pasadena -- a sashimi lunch

steph p | Sep 3, 200308:54 PM     2

new sushi place in pasadena:

they've been open since last tuesday. there are two stations at the sushi bar, one manned by toshi (sp?), formerly sushi chef of z sushi. and the other will be a rotating spot for a guest sushi chef from westside sushi restaurants.

lunch was sashimi:
toro
snapper
halibut
salmon
miso soup
salad
$12

i'm still waiting for a good value sashimi special.
on the board -- i wanted to try something different: blue fin tuna and amber jack. maybe next time.

next door is lovebirds -- a pretty decent bakery/cafe.
