OK I apologize in advance if my question comes across as naive/ignorant. But I always wonder, when I'm at a Japanese restaurant, what traditional Japanese folks prepare/eat veggies at home ?
I know it wouldn't be goma-ae or the orange-miso dressing on some crappy iceberg lettuce and tomatoes (like the salads in the restos).
And I'm not referring to all the pickled varieties of tsukemono (umeboshi, daikon, cucumber, turnip etc).
Enlighten me, please :-)
