I've been to Jane (on Houston between La Guardia and Thompson) several times for brunch and every meal has been terrific.
I usually get a variation of Eggs Benedict, which they have several of. My two favorites are the Benedict Johnny, which replaces the canadian bacon with chicken sausage and the english muffin with a corn fritter. My other favorite is the one (name forgotten), which replaces the bacon with lobster and the english muffin with biscuits. Both are out of this world. The prices are a little steep, but a drink is included, and I would venture to say that Jane probably serves the best bloody mary in new york. Nice amount of horseradish, garnerd with green olives, lemon, and a slice of pickled green tomato.
If you are there for lunch or dinner, try the hamburger (which comes with cheese and bacon), and the flat bread with caramelized onions and goat cheese. For a drink, try the Dirty Jane, which is a martini with Ketel One and pickle juice (and an ingredient i think i'm missing). if you like dirty martinis, give this a try.
For brunch, I usually go to Time Cafe or Clinton Street Baking Co. but I think Jane is now my favorite. Check it out!
