Jack in the Box's Ande mint shake ain't no Shamrock Shake

rworange | Apr 15, 200710:24 AM

I like Jack's shakes. They top them with whipped cream and a cheery cherry with stem.

McDonald's in my area didn't carry shamrock shakes this year, so this seemed like the next best thing.

It was ok. Nice mint flavor. However, I don't like solid stuff in my shakes ... like oreo cookies. Fine in ice cream, but not in a shake.

So that's why the Ande mint shake gets a thumbs down. There's lots of pieces of Andes mint candy in it. Sort of a chocolate mint chip shake. Some of the chocolate sinks to the bottom. That part wasn't too bad actually. At the end there is a layer of whipped cream mixed with chocolate chips. Two deserts in one ... shake ... and a sort of Jack mousse as a finale.
