We are going to rent a car and travel through Italy in 3 weeks. Our goal is to have the trip center on (local) food - with some time allowed for must see sights. We have picked up the Michelin Red book and have printed out many postings from this forum. We also have the Plotkin and Willinger books. We anticipate spending much of our time in Northern Italy and don't plan to drive South of Rome.
We are planning our trip over the next week or so, so any input (from chowhounds) would be greatly appreciated. We will keep notes of our trip and report our culinary adventures when we return.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
