On the cooking channel last night I saw this soup being prepared. It looked really great and I would love to google a recipe, or perhaps be given one by someone here on CH. Anyway, I could not understand what the chef was saying when she mentioned the name of the soup. Something like papapompido??? It was a Tuscan soup and looked very rustic, like a good way to use stale bread. The basics of the soup were canned tomatos cook down, chicken stock, then you toss in toasted chunks of day old bread and cook for sometime more until the bread has disintegrated fairly well. The chef seasoned it with olive oil and fresh basil.
