Italian Plums

We have a tree full of ripe Italian Plums. We still have a lot even after giving many away. Can anyone suggest what to do with them? We are only 2 people and have a good sized pantry so the stress is on long term storage. I've already found a couple preserve recipes that require only sugar and lemon. Is there anything else. Thanks.
