Italian gem in Whitestone - Puccini

I've noticed this Italian place called Puccini Restaurant on Francis Lewis and Willets Pt. for a while now. Finally took my fiancee out for b-day dinner a few weeks ago, and it was so good I just had to make a post here.

We had Bruschetta for anti pasti and it immediately got our attention. Every part of this appetizer was very tasty. The garlic bread was light, and the plum tomatoes and the mozzarella were fresh.

After we had that, we couldn't wait for our dishes. The chicken parm and stuffed lasagna didn't disappoint. The chicken was tender, the lasagna was layered just right, and the marinara sauces and cheeses were delicious. I would say the food is just as good here as at Caffe on th Green but in a different way. In hindsight, the really special thing about the food was that it manages to be tasty without being heavy.

I should also mention that the ambience is quite nice. This is definitely a good place for a date.
