Discovered a new (for us) Byob in South Philly. Actually found by my friend who couldn't get into Tre Scalini one night.

6 people started by sharing an order of gnocci in garlic and olive oil while we talked. They were not too busy, so they didn't rush us into ordering.
Apps (as I recall); lamb chops over cous cous- 3 small chops, perfectly done (rare, of course), nice salads with walnuts, blue cheese and fresh spring greens, mussels and clams in white wine.
Entrees: scallops in some yummy sauce (huge and very nicely prepared), Orchietta with sausage, shrimp, in aglio and olio, and flounder special which no one offered me a taste of.
Nice desserts included Bindi ices which my wife loves.
The chef worked at Monte Carlo Living room until he opened here.
Apparently not "discovered" yet. A good find for the chowhounds.
