Lately I've been having a run of bad luck finding decent tahini (sesame paste). IMO good tahini has intense, concentrated, nutty flavor that goes a long way in a recipe (say hummus); a couple of tablespoons should balance a lemon's worth of juice; a whole cup of tahini should Not be necessary.
The latest sucky brand I've bought is Arrowhead Mills, also Mid-East and (common-green-label) brands found a lot in local Indian and Paki stores aren't any good either. At one time Indo-European was OK but I haven't tried that recently.
How about lot-to-lot consistency in the same brand?
