ISO Fancy-ish New Year's Eve Takeout dinner, hollywood to the beach

Sasha | Dec 27, 200506:22 PM

Dear Hounds,
Please chime in with your recs. We are spending NYE at home this year due to our 2 week old infant, our 3 yr old, and our desire not to bother the revelers and not to overwhelm ourselves. But we also have grandparents in town who would like to treat us to a very nice take-out dinner, if we can only find one.

Do you know which of LA's better restaurants (preferably hollywood and west) will prepare a NYE dinner for 4 (or 4 separate dinners) that we can get takeout? We can probably afford $$$ but not $$$$. Also, if you've ever gone this route, how far in advance should I order? Thanks!
