ISO Cali-French Tasting menu

BabyLitigator | Apr 26, 200601:34 PM

I know this has been covered before, but I figured I'd throw it out there; I'll try to add some details.

I'm looking to do a tasting menu for two in a few weeks w/ my gf, one meat eater, one vegetarian (but eats fish). More than happy to call ahead (actually, a place that is better with warning might be a plus).

Cuisine-wise, looking for Cali-french or Modern French.

Would prefer to keep it in the range of $200-$250 for two, all in (inc. a bottle of wine, tax, tip, etc.), so I guess Spago is out.

Also, not Providence, Grace, AOC, Melisse, Saddle Peak, or Chaya. Nothing against these places, but want somewhere new.
