Tonight I'll be dining on some roasted duck and a beef/potato stew. I'm bringing beer. For the stew I am going with either:
Dogfish Head India Brown Ale;
Sam Smith Oatmeal; or
Sam Smith Nut Brown.
What are some good ideas for roasted duck? If it helps, I am in NY, so assume that west coast beers are not available. Also, I have a great distributor, so obscurity not an issue (within the coast).
Also, I don't want the two beers to be similar at all.
And, as much as I love hopped up beers, I don't think my crew will go for 120 Minute IPA or Hop Devil (unless someone makes a strong argument that hopped up beer is in fact the most suitabkle companion for duck)
