New(ish) Thai place in Elmhurst/Jackson Heights/Woodside

Eric Eto | Mar 22, 2003 05:29 PM

Just noticed today that the little Thai takeout place on Woodside Ave in the Elmhurst/Woodside/Jackson Heights border changed hands and has a very promising looking menu. The former Thai place used to be called Ray's Bai Thong and specialized in (of all things) fried chicken. The new restaurant is called MEAL Thai Cuisine. They still have the fried chicken on the menu (they probably inherited all the fry equipment). One interesting thing to note, especially in light of the gay restaurant thread on the Manhattan board this week, is that the rainbow flag is prominently displayed at this restaurant.
