Ipswich Clams in San Diego

David Naimark | Aug 27, 2003 06:43 PM

I recall that there was a discussion some time ago about where to find these in San Diego. . .

Today, I happened to be having lunch at the Studio Diner on Ruffin Road anbd noticed that they have a fried Ipswich clam belly sandwich (supposedly imported from the East Coast). It was a little pricy at, I think, about 12 bucks. I didn't try it (because I don't like clam belly's!!)--but maybe somebody could, and report back.

I had a Maine Lobster Roll instead.$15but had enough lobster meat for 2. It was really tasty--served on a toasted hotdog bun, bound with just a little mayo and celery, some good fries on the side.
