Intriguing Italian - Follia

Vital Information | Nov 14, 200208:59 AM

I've mentioned this before, but the "Penny's Morsels" column from Chicago Magazine's web site/mailing list is probably the best thing out there beside chowhound. She has great sensibilities, finds some interesting places as they open, and most importantly, gives ALL of her opinions.

Her latest post mentions a place, Follia (953 W. Fulton St) whose chef hails from Milan. Pollack quotes them as saying, "Here in Chicago there are some great Italian places, but it's still very Americanized." The owner is "is adamant about the food's authenticity." Sounds specifically directed to VI, no?

The link below should get you to her complete report for the week. At the bottom is instructions on how to get the report mailed to you each week.
