Internet Wine Auctions

A baker's dozen or more years ago, I bought a fair amount of wine through online auctions Acker, Winebid, etc. and made some pretty nice purchases, esp. from Burgundy region. None of the wine I purchased was faulty--at least the corkage percentage was no worse than buying elsewhere. I stopped buying wine for several years. I recently purchased a few cases from Heritage (first time). While the prices were not phenomenal, i could not resist buying some aging Burgundies of moderate distinction (and a few Brunellos) with an average price of $30 all-in (premium, tax, shipping). I was wondering if anyone has had truly bad experiences buying from these houses. Loving all the choices now--local retailer, WTSO, Last Bottle, Lot18, etc.
