so I FINALLY have a chance to give my review of the place I was anxiously waiting for, when I was in Brussels.
So, let me start off by saying that we had a little bit of a diffucult time finding it. The restaurant had emailed a map to me, but it was kind of off. We walked around for an hour looking for it before I asked a hotel concierge where it was...it was around the corner and down about 5 blocks.
I was so excited to have the Moules Piquante, I could taste it 3 days before.
So we sat on the adjacent patio because it was a beautiful evening. we started off with the Moules Escargot which was mussles prepared as escargot is..with lots of butter and garlic. TO DIE FOR! I almost had an orgasm.
HB had the beef with Bernaise sauce which was ok...but the piece de resistance was my dish. The Moules Piquante. He asked me if I wanted it spicy and I told him the spicier, the better. WOW was it good. I thought the sauce was going to be thicker than it was, based on Perceptors pics, but it was a little watery...still good though.
For dessert we shared the chocolate profiteroles because HB was being indecisive. I don't normally like those, but it was pretty good.
HB talked about trying all kinds of different beers, but when it came down to it, he just had a plain old Bel pils.
So all in all it was good, but after walking for so long in heels, I was just tired and thirsty when we finally got there.
If I ever make to Brussels again, we will definetly eat there again.
