First, thanks to all of you who helped make my trip to St. Paul last week wonderful. We managed to get to Cheng Heng (which was fantastic - second only to Ankor Wat in San Franscisco and better than Cleveland's two Cambodian places), but not the Vietnamese places (too bad, they sounded so good). Mickey's Diner was a lot of fun and yielded 2 good breakfasts, and the lasagna at Cosseta was quite good. I could not prevail on my NTN Trivia hooked friends to go to WA Frost, so we wound up at a place about one block up on Selby that was only ok, Fabulous Fern's. We did have our last meal - Walleye Sandwiches - at Tavern on Grand. Vine Park Brewing Company had some outstanding beer, though we didn't get to really sample the food. Taste of Minnesota was a bust from the Chowhound perspective.
The most outstanding meal was dinner in the kitchen at Goodfellows. I'll post about that seperately, since this is getting long. Thanks to all of you from the Twin Cities for your help - I'll be happy to reciprocate with Cleveland info anytime!
