This Chinese-Indonesian-owned eatery has been serving some of the most popular East Javanese dishes since 1974, but is best-known for its "Tahu Telur" - tofu omelette, where cubes of tofu are fried with beaten eggs till fragrant, golden-brown & crisped at the edges, then smothered with salty-sweet sauce flavored with "petis" (fermented shrimp paste) which can pack quite a punch in smell/taste.
Other popular items on its menu included the popular Chinese-Indonesian dish: "Lontong Cap Gomeh" (though the version we had at Depot HTS was tastier and had more depth in flavors), and huge tofu cubes served with black, thick unadulterated "petis" dip & raw little pods of fiery "cabe rawit" chillis.
