Incredible Brunch at Lacroix

Sara | Mar 10, 2003 07:37 AM

I finally had the opportunity to dine at Lacroix yesterday. I found their Sunday brunch to be out of this world.

They have different table set up for appetizers and desserts. You order your entree from a menu. The appetizers were incredible, and I wish I could have bypassed my entree and gone right to dessert- too much good food. They had at least 30 different little plates set up with a variety of foods. Some that stick out in my head were: brie and cranberry strudels, white truffled risotto balls, some type of duck rolls and dumplings, different sushis, a caviar bar with three different types and all the fixings- including potato pancakes, a raw bar with huge delicios shrimp. oysters, smoked salmon, different fishes. They then brought us a cup of butternut squash bisque which was incredible.

The entree menu had around 6 or 8 choices. We all opted for eggs benedict and it was fantastic, although we could all barely finish half of our after spotting the desserts.

The desserts alone were worth the 38-44 dollars a person for brunch. There was probably about 18 different desserts on the one table, including at least 6 chocolate ones (I am a chocoholic). There were two other stations, one with 3 different warm desserts (I think a bread pudding, some cobbler...) and another station with fresh berries, ice cream, sorbet.

My only complaint was too much to choose from. Everything was perfect! Let me know if you have any questions.
