Ina Garten's Beef Stew-- anyone ever make it in a slow cooker? Help please!

I'm really excited to finally try my hand at beef stew tomorrow, but I was just reviewing the recipe and I realized I don't have an oven proof dutch oven, which she calls for. The stew cooks 2 hours in a 275-300 degree oven. Do you think I can I dump everything into my slow cooker after all the pre-oven steps are completed and finish it off in there? Has anyone ever tried this or have any idea how long it would take? Thanks in advance!
