One of Chowhound's priorities is to provide a safe place for our members to share their passion for food. A few weeks ago we implemented https on the site: https://www.chowhound.com/post/chowho.... The next step towards a safer site is to make our new user registration more secure.

We want to ensure that all of our members are aware of this change because the new user registration will require that all existing users create a new password.

In a few days, when you visit Chowhound, you will notice that your account has been logged out and you will have to log in and create a new password by following these steps:

Right after you log into your account, you will be prompted to create a new password which must meet these requirements:
— Six characters minimum
— Include one special character or number (0123456789!"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[]^_` {|}~)
— No spaces
To confirm the password change you'll have to enter your current password, but if you can’t remember it, you can request a password reset by clicking the "Forgot my password" link.

If you have any questions, please let us know.
