Peter has emailed me the menu for the yearly beer dinner at Il Tiramisu...check it out!
"We will begin with a refreshing aperitif of Lost Coast Great White, a
spicy wheat beer with secret recipe of herbs from California.
Highlights of the menu include a first course of a homemade pasta crepe
filled with beef, cabbage & ricotta cheese, topped with mozzarella,
onion & cabbage, in a light lemon sauce, served with Veltius Pilsner
one of Germanys best, a dry pilsner, with a bitter hop finish. The
second course is rabbit cacciatore, sautéed in a fresh tomato,
mushroom, onion sauce, over spinach ricotta dumplings paired with
Spaten, Oktoberfest from Germany, an amber lager made for the wedding
of King Ludwig I in 1810. The main course is veal short ribs braised
in chianti & vegetables over sauerkraut pancakes alongside Abbaye de
Val Dieu, a rich brown ale, made by monks, Belgiums oldest abbey
brew. Dessert is chianti baked apple in an almond custard cake with
vanilla gelato, served with Moretti La Rossa from Italy, a double bock
beer with richness & power.
The cost of the event is $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
Reservations are required. Il Tiramisu Ristorante & Bar is located at
13705 Ventura Blvd., in Sherman Oaks, on the northwest corner of
