Just got back from dinner at IL Forno on Ocean Park Blvd. in Santa Monica. This is our warm weather default place to eat because of their very nice and quiet outside patio in the front of the restaurant.
I tried their daily pizza special today and it was excellent in all respects. Crust was thin without being a cracker with excellent taste, consistency and came hot right from the oven to the table.
It had plenty of prosciutto, arugala, beautifully ripe tomatoes and a large, wonderful round of delicious burrata in the middle of the pie which I cut up and spread on to each of the pieces. I made short work of that puppy.
I am a happy and contented man who now has to stay awake in order to pick up the teen weasel, (tw) and 3 of his buddies who are at a concert at the Wiltern on Wilshire tonight. The funny thing about that is that they ate dinner before hand at BCD Soon Tofu house thanks to a bit of Chowhound search that I did for my tw when he said "Where would that Chowhound site tell us to eat within walking distance of the theater tonight?"
