My shopping trip was a fizzle; my friend's GPU was on the fritz, and we couldn't find the Saloon. On our way to Osteria, we drove by Il CAntuccio on N. 3rd near Fairmount, found a parking spot and went in. Friendly, interesting menu. Everything we chose was tasty and reasonable: great mussels, white for friend, red for me. ($7 at lunch) My entree of broiled salmon came with several juicy clams and good-sized shrimp on escarole. A very nice dish for $9. Good bread, tasty pesto with something crunchy on top.
Downside? Very noisey, even at lunch, half-full. Stairway down to the restrooms look steep, forbidding to me. We skipped coffee and dessert, and skidaddled. A caution for most patrons I think, something not often mentioned in a review.
