Good morning all...I finally made it to Ideya saturday night. There were 6 of us in all. 2 of our party was 15 minutes late and they would not seat the other 4 of us until we had at least 5 show. I thought that was kind of strange but then they finally did seat us. If you go make sure they give you the fried plantain chips with the kick ass salsa(I had to say it). The salsa they have there is some of the best I ever had. My friend Todd asked for a glass so he could drink it..that's how good it was. The exotic drinks they had were very good but could have been made in larger glasses. They kept pushing the drinks also. Most of my party had seafood for appetizers and main entrees also..they were not complaining..their mouths were full all the time.I'm the weird one,I don't eat anything that I had the skirt steak with a cilantro pesto...I couldn't get enough of it.I also had the rice and beans and tostones. There was no sauce on the beans but none the less were good and the tostones were fried excess oil. We are not exactly 100% chowhounds and very fussy foodies but we agreed that we would all come back here again. The food and service were very good..however it was alittle too loud for me..I wish the noise level was toned down a bit but the place was really jammin all night. Go there and have a good time.
