Very pleased to have found you.
I recently purchased these beautiful three pieces from an antique shop. The only information available on them is that they are stamped 'Made in Portugal' at the base of the handle (where it is bolted into the pan).
I am wondering if someone might help me identify / confirm:
- The brand, and when it would have been made;
- Whether they are brass or copper (or something else):
- Whether the lining is tin (or something else); and,
- If I may continue to cook in them, or if I need to get them relined (with whatever you identify as the lining material). Ultimately on this point, I would like to confirm I am not poisoning myself :)
The measurements are as follow -
Large pot diameter is 10", with a 8" handle.
Medium pan diameter is 7", with a 8" handle.
Small pan diameter is 5.5", with a 6" handle.
With much advance thanks,
