Gari was booked and Blue Ribbon too far away, and didn't even feel like going down to Tsuki, so we tried this place (1694 Second Ave. 87/88) instead. Initially, I was put off by the laminated menu with photos, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish - not stellar, but decent. We had shrimp shumai (okay), fluke with ponzu sauce, a mackeral dish recommended by our waitress and an interesting yellow tail dish to start. Then a sashimi deluxe, four pieces of squid nigiri and two pieces of uni nigiri. Two large hot sakes and two glasses of pinot grigio. It was about $100 plus tip. We'll definitely be back for a week night "cheap" sushi - I prefer this place to Tomoe and Poke (neither of which I returned to after trying). Service was pleasant, room pretty enough.
