Ice cream maker

Timster | Jul 10, 2003 10:05 AM has two ice cream makers for about $50: Cuisinart (electric) and Donvier (crank). Is either any good, or is there an alternative at about the same price?

Of an entirely different order is a Musso selling for $495. Is the price difference justifiable: i.e., does it produce something that's 10 times better than the cheaper models?
