Hurry!! the best thai restaurant Wondee Siam doesn't last long!

the chefs at Wondee(the original branch:729 9th ave )might be replaced soon or later.
there are many great posts about this place by Iron Frank and Mirepoix, and other hounds. Also, many of my thai friends are raving too.they say that now, Wondee
is the best thai place in NY( some of them prefer Wondee to Sripraphai ).
Wondee has been around for years, they used be just mediocre restaurant ( i didn't like it at all ). the reason why wondee is so good now is the new chefs who are very nice middle age hadsband & wife from thailand.when Wondee opend the 2nd branch about a year and half ago,the original chef moved to the new branch ( that's why the new branch is still just OK ), and they invited these hasband & wife chef team from thailand.since then, Wondee has become the best thai restaurant in NY ( you still have to ask them for " thai spicy" and " the thai menu" which is primary for thai people -not on the regular menu, you have to ask them- in order to get the best food ).
recently, the owner of the both Wondee is trying to sell the new branch, and the chef of the new branch is planning to move back to the original Wondee after they sold it.then the chefs of the original Wondee now, they are most likely going back to thailand.
nobody knows what is exactly going happen to these great chefs at the original Wondee, but it's definitely the former chef is taking over the place.
it's so sad.....
their sticky rice w mango is one of the best dessert in NY( like mirepoix said ). it's NOT just mango on sticky rice.the sticky rice is cooked with coconuts milk and suger.also the chefs carefully select the mangos which are properly riped, then very carefully sliced in order to make proper consisitency between sticky rice and'll easily find out that how carefully is constracted this master piece.
you have to hurry! before they are gone.
