Hungary - LUDLAB - NEED LUDLAB

maisonbistro | Jul 7, 200812:14 PM     3

Hi all,

I live in Montreal and growing, a big treat was to be taken to the Coffee Mill restaurant for a great hungarian meal, topped off by an unforgettable ludlab - sadly, it closed iit's doors years ago. I was in Budapest about 8 years ago, and experienced that same ludlab "high". I actually found "real" ludlab in a few places. What I have been searching for high and low, is the actual recipe for ludlab. Googling, searching, begging and pleading have proven fruitless. The ludlab I am referring to (as some recipes that come up by googling give recipes for a cake that is a few inches high) is the ludlab with the very thin shortbreadlike crust, topped by a silky, chocolately filling studded with sour cherries, and on that a thin dark chocolate shell.

Please, does anyone have the recipe for real ludlab???
