Hudson, Ohio

I'm en route from Philadelphia to Chicago & various points in Wisconsin. As usual, we stopped in Streetsboro OH off the Ohio Turnpike (I-80) for our overnight, which is kinda halfway between Cleveland and Akron, and not too far from Kent.

The nearby small city of Hudson offers much better food choice and quality than an Interstate traveler has any right to expect. Just had dinner at a strip mall Italian, The Red Tomato, at the Hudson Plaza shopping center, just west of the center of Hudson. Small but decent wine list, and very good food. Some basic pastas well-executed, a Caesar salad that actually had homemade dressing (I find it highly unlikely they used raw eggs, but the background taste of anchovy was there). Service was Midwestern-friendly and efficient, but our meal was still leisurely.

All in all, a most pleasurable and relaxing dinner stop for weary travellers.
