When a Hound is Down

crumpet | Aug 6, 2002 02:00 PM

Poor crumpet had been battling the summer flu. Surrounded by pricey, useless medication, head pounding, nose running a marathon, taste buds long gone, she turned to the Great Gold...and was saved.
Yep, cured in an instant! A mammoth salad of herbs, sadao and smoked fish, bitter as hell but oh so tasty, each glorious, unique mouthful a healing revelation. Fish steamed in a banana leaf with coconut milk, soothing and heavenly, a sweet creaminess to temper the sharp salad. And finally, a great steaming pot of hot, sweet and sour soup, huge slices of white fish, tomato and pineapple. Thirty bucks of delicious grub later and crumpet was fighting fit!
