Two friends are visiting me in Chicago this weekend and Hot Doug's (specifically the duck fries) is a finalist for a Chicago chow destination. I looked through some old posts, but am hoping for an update, specifically with respect to the following:
-Is the Saturday duck fry window noon-3:45? 1-3:45? Something else? Is it worth it to get there a little before the "window"?
-Is there a "taste" update? There seemed to be some mixed reviews last year, but a modification by Doug was followed by the "OMG!" thread in January.
