Krispy Kreme is opening up its first Philly store (at Roosevelt and Cottman) on Nov. 7. Now, in my opinion, KK is one of the best examples of how to do a franchised product right-- I loves me them Original Glazeds, hot off the conveyor belt. Especially late at night. MAN, that's good.
But let's open this up a little: where's the local competition? I've yet to have found really good doughnuts (or donuts, for that matter) in Philly. They've gotta be out there... suggestions, Chowhounds?
