Hot Dogs and Burgers

First, hot dogs.I've been doing some hot dog "research" over the past year or so. This involves eating hot dogs whenever and wherever I get the chance. In addition to two places in Kalamazoo (Coney Island and the Root Beer Stand), here is a list (in no particular order) of my local favorites and the hot dogs they use. If anyone has any input or advice I would be very grateful.

Bill's (in Evanston)(leon's)

Mustard's Last Stand (Evanston again)(vienna beef)
Demon Dogs (Fullerton el)(vienna beef)

Weiner Circle (Lincoln Park)(vienna beef)(char!!!)

Jim's Original (Maxwell street)(vienna beef)(grilled onions)

As you can see, it's not a very long list. But it's separated into different categories. Most places in Chicago seem to fall under category II--the standard vienna beef natural casing hot dog. Anyone have anything to add?

Now Burgers. Here is my problem. I'm looking for a hamburger place in Chicago that approximates Redamak's (sp) in New Buffalo (or is it Union Pier?) Michigan. I find their burger to be not too huge, grilled to perfection with an excellent French Fry accompaniment. I remember once having a burger at a place called Smoke in Logan Square (or near there) that was excellent with great fries. But I think they went out of business. Of course, Check Please was not wrong about Top Notch Beef Burgers. Those were the right size and had excellent fries. Anyone have any ideas?
