Martha Stewart's show, Everyday Food recently had
a episode where they made a super hot chocolate.
I made a couple of changes to the recipe which I
think made it better. This version is 1/2 of
their original recipe.
I substituted the mexican chocolate for 1 of the
T cocoa powder and added the sugar.
Here is my version:
2 cups whole milk
2 T cocoa powder or 1 T cocoa powder & 1/2 Mexican
Ibarra chocolate disk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 c semi sweet chocolate chips
1 T vanilla
cinnamon stick or powdered cinnamon ( optional )
whipped cream ( optional )
Heat milk and add sugar, cocoa, chocolate chips.
Stir until sugar is disolved and cocoa and choc.
chips are melted. Finish with addition of vanilla
and any optional ingredients.
