So, last night my husband and I ventured to Gardens of Salonica with two very good friends visiting town. In a nutshell, two of the dishes (a 1/2 chicken and a lamb steak) arrived very dry and overcooked. One of our companions mentioned it to the server, and immediately the chef came to our table. He belittled my husband, who had the lamb, suggesting that we simply did not know what Greek lamb should taste like. There was much more said, but we were just dumbfounded and frankly don't remember all the details. Then he turned to one of our companions to start on the chicken, and the companion backed down, just wanted to end the whole scene. It was abusive, our companions were shocked. I'm amazed my husband kept his temper in check, or that any of us did.
Has anyone else experienced this? All the other food was great, and the service was wonderful otherwise. We were thinking of writing a letter but it appears that the chef is also the owner.
