Hong Kong Style Western Cuisine - Where else to find it...

dhs | Mar 28, 2008 01:02 PM

Anyone been to Kowloon Cafe on 86th street in Gravesend/Bensonhurst? I find the Western Style offerings very intriguing but very hit or miss. I was hoping to get some recommendations on dishes to try (sorry they don't have an online menu) and also was hoping to find some other restaurants that serve this style food to compare with what I have tried already.

'Western' dishes I have found particularly tasty are the Portugese chicken and pork chop with red sace over spaghetti. We had a lamb caserole last time that I found to be too fatty and not particularly tasty of a broth. A number of white sauce dishes seem to have a 'cream of mushroom soup' base but from what I have read I may be mistaking that for coconut milk base of some sort.
