Some posted a query about where to find "Hong Kong egg waffles" in the Bay Area. I somehow missed coming across these in the few weeks I spent in HK several years ago, but from the descriptions I've read I wonder if they are similar to the Delimanjoo "cream cakes" you see all over Korea and now here in SF.
They are waffle-like and about the size of a walnut, and come both plain and creme-filled. The Delimanjoo outlet in SF is in the Washington Bakery, on Washington Street between the Silver Restaurant and Portsmouth Square. You can't miss it, they make them right in the window. Try to get them hot off the griddle, and in small quantities, because they seem to have a short half-life.
